Principal Fundraising Strategy & Operations Consultant
When you work with Donor Development Matters, you work with me. Think of me as another member of your team.
I offer your organization 35+ years of direct marketing, communications, and fundraising experience, including more than 20 years working on the frontlines of nonprofits. I have served as Executive Director, VP of Development & Marketing, and Director of Development within the healthcare, arts & culture and social services sectors. I consult with nonprofits to assess their fundraising capacity and develop practical strategies for improving results.
I bring a wealth of nonprofit knowledge and experience including: strategic assessment & planning, fundraising campaign development, budget management, board development, annual fund planning & implementation, major/mid-level giving program planning and implementation, grateful patient program development, donor cultivation & stewardship, prospect research, donor analytics, market research, integrated direct response marketing and donor communications.
My analytical skills include understanding donor lifecycles and best practices in implementing targeted fundraising campaigns based on those lifecycles. I work with users of a variety of donor databases, particularly Raiser’s Edge NXT, eTapestry, Little Green Light and DonorPerfect, enabling organizations to take their fundraising efforts to the next level. In addition, I provide guidance to clients on how to make use of custom modeling scores, capacity ratings, and other data analytics in their fundraising strategies, including grateful patient programs. For more than four years I worked at Blackbaud, the leading provider of technology for non-profits, as a fundraising consultant where my clients included large national organizations in healthcare, higher ed, museums, arts & culture, and advocacy, as well as mid-sized and small nonprofits from a variety of sectors.
I am an active member of the Massachusetts Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals, the Nonprofit Consultants Network, and Women in Development of Greater Boston. In addition, I am an amateur genealogist, so contact me to find out if we are related!
